a Deficiency, an Overdose or an Excess?
Introduction:
This is a simple, logical, step-by-step utility aimed at helping you and your nutritional counselor to identify, to overcome, and to avoid the more prominent of the many nutritional imbalances. This information is supplied as a guideline only. It is not a complete listing, and it is not intended to replace the advice of a suitably trained health professional.
Please bear in mind that the fact that your symptom could be related to a particular imbalance does not mean that it is related to that imbalance. In other words, your condition could have some other cause. You should always discuss the outcome of your research together with a suitably qualified health professional.
Important Note:
If you are taking any medicinal drug, first check the insert that comes together with your prescription to see if the drug is not known to cause your particular symptom and/or imbalance. If it does, then bring this to the attention of your prescribing physician, or a nutrition-oriented health professional, who will suggest appropriate action.
Instructions:
On a clean piece of paper, make a list of the more prominent symptoms that are troubling you – with the most prominent at the top of the list. Having done so, search for each of these symptoms in the listing below (see search instructions below) and jot down on your symptom list, next to the applicable symptom, the possible deficiencies, overdoses or excesses that could be causing each symptom.
This exercise might reveal that a number of symptoms are associated with the same deficiency, or overdose, or excess. Whether this is the case or not, once you have used the listing below to research each of your more prominent symptoms, click here and follow the instructions.
If a particular symptom has many suggested causes, your best approach is to include more whole foods in your diet – especially nuts (in moderation), seeds (in moderation), and whole grain cereals and porridges.
