Rolled Oats

OAT WAFFLES: Mix together 3 cups Rolled Oats, 3 cups milk, 1 tsp salt and let stand overnight. Add water and 1 egg and mix to a thin consistency. Bake in waffle iron. Serve together with honey and whipped cream.

PORRIDGE PREPARATION: Bring 3 cups water to boil. Stir in 1 cup [rolled oats] and ¼ tsp salt. METHOD 1: (recommended) pour mixture into a glass baking dish and bake at 160 Degrees Celsius for 1 hour. Stir once after 15 minutes. METHOD 2: Simmer on low heat for 1 hour. Serve together with honey and (soy) milk and your favoured selection of nuts, seeds, raisins etcetera.
