Place ½ cup rolled oats into a saucepan with 1 cup of water. Bring to the boil and simmer for 15 - 25 minutes on a low heat till the oats are tender and water is absorbed.
Add the turmeric and salt.
Turn off the heat and let it stand for 2 minutes.
Add milk and the desired toppings.
